Daydreamer

Staring at the ceiling in my room
Painting little planets with the moon
Teacher says I'm always far away
But I'm building castles every day

Let them call me lazy, let them call me slow
There's a whole wide world that they will never know

I'm a daydreamer
Floating on a paper plane
Daydreamer
Dancing in the summer rain
Close my eyes and I'm already there
Daydreamer, walking on the air

Doodles in the margins of my notes
Little paper boats and silly quotes
One day I will sail them out to sea
And the world will dream along with me

Let them call me lazy, let them call me slow
There's a whole wide world that they will never know

I'm a daydreamer
Floating on a paper plane
Daydreamer
Dancing in the summer rain
Close my eyes and I'm already there
Daydreamer, walking on the air

La la la, la la la
Dreaming is the brightest star

I'm a daydreamer
Floating on a paper plane
Daydreamer
Dancing in the summer rain
Close my eyes and I'm already there
Daydreamer, walking on the air
